Write to contact@mathwrite.com and you will get a reply within two working days. It helps to say which device you are on and which version of the app, both of which are shown at the bottom of Settings.

If a page converted badly, attaching a photo of the handwriting and the LaTeX it produced makes the problem far quicker to fix.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, not by us, so they are managed in your Apple Account rather than in the app. Open the Settings app on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and you can change plan or cancel from there. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access running until the period you already paid for ends.

Refunds are handled by Apple as well, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no way to issue one on your behalf.

If you have paid but the app is still asking you to subscribe, use Restore Purchases — it is on the paywall and in Settings.

Your notes and your account

Notebooks are stored on your device and are not uploaded to us or synced between devices. That means deleting the app deletes the notebooks in it, so export anything you want to keep as a PDF first.

You can delete your account from Settings, under Delete account. It removes the account itself; because notebooks never leave your device, they are only removed if you ask for that too.

Conversion and compilation

Turning handwriting into LaTeX and compiling it to PDF both run on our servers and need a connection. Writing, reading and exporting work offline, and pages written with no connection convert by themselves once you are back online.
